1974-1982: Mineral (uranium) exploration with Elf in Namibia, South Africa, Canada, and the U.S.A.
1982-2000: Petroleum exploration with Elf: Head of Geology Department in Pau (France), California/Alaska District Geologist, and Deep Offshore Exploration Manager in Nigeria.
Degrees
Master’s degree in Geology from Lyons University (1972)
PhD in Economic Geology from Nancy University (1974)
teaching
2002, IGAL (Geology Engineering School) Paris: Associate professor for the new 3rd-year Petroleum Geology course, mainly in charge of the Petroleum System module (+ 2 practicals) and deep offshore exploration.
Activities
Petroleum exploration
– Basin and petroleum system evaluation, mainly in West Africa deep offshore operations.
– Block and prospect assessment, and licensing round preparation.
– Exploration operation follow-up (drilling and well studies).
– Multidisciplinary team management.
