Experiences
Mr. Denis Giorno served as President and CEO of Total New Energies USA from 2011 till 2016 and from 2014 to 2016 as President and CEO of Novogy, a Boston based biotech start up. From October 2007 until October 2011, he served as the Vice President of New Ventures for the Gas & Power division of Total S.A. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Giorno was Vice President, Business Development, of the Gas & Power division relative to Total’s interests in Asia, South America, and Africa. Mr Giorno’s extensive, worldwide business development and international expertise covers a broad spectrum of upstream oil & gas, gas infrastructure, power, water desalination and renewable energy assets in particular, throughout the value chain, in the solar sector
Degrees
Mr. Giorno received an engineer degree in civil engineering from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees – Paris France in 1973, a Master of Science degree in management science and engineering at Stanford University in 1974 and an engineer degree in Petroleum Engineering from Ecole Nationale du Petrole et des Moteurs in 1977. Mr. Giorno also completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business’ Executive Program.
