Day 1 :- Introduction: What is the meaning of Innovation ? How to understand the links between Innovation and Cultures ? Innovation and Government policies according to countries. Some facts about the World and World perceptions. Systems of representation.- Inputs and outputs in terms of: laws, investment, education, freedom, social rules and the surprising results of policies.

Day 2 :
– Examples and exercises.
– Worldwide view of Innovative companies.
– 9 key-dimensions for international and intercultural understanding: trends, definitions and authors + practical videos and exercises on actual situations.
– Short homework.

Day 3 :
– Cultural Systems of Management by country and their links with innovation.
– The new Chinese entrepreneurs: a new model of management ? A new way of innovating ? Eg:Comac, Didi versus Uber …
– Group work during the class.

Day 4 :
– Innovation and digitalization of the World: impacts of digitalization (citizenship, big data and persons, organizations, economical models, behavioral changes, intelligent robots…).
– Start-ups: innovating for big companies: dream or reality ? Innovating for oneself ?
– Are big companies still innovative ?
– Innovation and communication.

Day 5 :
Smart cities: why, how and what for ?
Who is actually involved in smart cities worldwide ?
The role and impacts of the Engineers in the future of smart cities.
Roles and impacts of Communication Officers in the future of smart cities.
Politicians and smart cities.
