Industrial project management from the idea till start up (all methods and techniques to use, engineering documents and also process safety validation)

Synthesis

Scope : description of each phase of an industrial project (preliminary studies, basic design, detailed engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning, startup, final evaluation with KPI).The techniques to use for study and validation at each phase, risks and options identification and evaluation, types of contract and their follow up, who is doing what, engineering documents.A polymer line will be taken as example to illustrate the course.
In depth analysis of technology selection to match owner requirements (ie:product capability, hidden costs, unreliability…).
Process safety and Reach validation, Design specific to petrochemicals plants regarding process safety.
Example of techniques and methods : gated process, market achievable, choice commodities or specialties, MVC,critical analysis of technologies(exercice), type of licenses, reach, industrial risk analysis (QRA,Hasop,SIL,risk matrix,Mitigation), design to catacity, design to ultimate capacity, plant quality, techniques for cost estimates, NPV, IRR, POT, process optimisations, cost control, planning,…
