Synthesis

This course focuses on the application of decision theory to the quantitative analysis of strategic decision problems. Examples will include Exploration block evaluation, producing asset evaluation and major capital investment decisions.This course introduces students to the concepts of time value of money, rate of return, net present value, ratios, discount rates, sensitivity analysis, breakeven concepts, real options and decision trees for a robust evaluation of any E&P project economics.
