+ extra documents in pdf, covering the topics related to students’ questions (One minute paper).
Impression générale
Overall logistics was very good.
25 students showed up on the first day but only 13 to 12 attended the next lectures. The 12 students were very motivated. Although the course was designed for Reservoir Engineers ( RE), none was present and several disciplines were represented. Attendants wanted to discover what an E&P career may be.
Since there was no R.E., the context of the TESS ensured, this time, a relative homogeneity of the audience !!
Management of the expected audience should be improved.
Quid du futur ?
This course was the most focused ofthe 8 courses of the TESS. It was found interesting, thanks to the opportunity the subject brought to side presentations/discussions on the life of actual oil and gas fields.
This course may be kept for future TESS but University should be more involved.
Questions posées par les étudiants
Most of the students were attending the course for »mind opening » and understanding the selected cursus of their colleagues. Questions were more general than the core of the presentations. (actually, the students clearly expressed their wish to international, specially future chemists
Many students wonder why such a specific topic was selected. – »Was it imposed by Total ? »-
A more general presentation on E&P might be more in line with their wishes.
At least, they got some hints on the drivers of subsurface field developments, which fulfil theirs expectations.
