Impression générale

A small group of students (4 girls, 4 boys) of different levels : 5 from Sofia University (BSc) and 3 from MGU (1 BSc, MSc and 1 PhD with experience in the industry. This mixed class made it hard for some BSc students. The main difficulty for all was, as always, seismics as they had no background in this technique. English was also a problem for some of them, although understanding improved with time. The class was both punctual and participative despite being a 4 hours of dense course each half-day. The best students were the 3 top ones on the test : Gergana Meracheva (PhD with experience, Osuma Alzaim (a very bright MSc, Syrian) and Boris Krestev (BSc, clever and reactive, with good practice of english and french).

Quid du futur ?

Given the high interest showed by students (see evaluation) and the Professor Botoucharov, it is clear that more TPA courses will be asked in the future

Questions posées par les étudiants

A lot of technical questions mainly on seismics, but also questions on the overall process of exploration, including economics.
