You will find here below the notes obtained by the 3 students of Sharjah University attending my course. : – Hamdan Mohamed : 18/20 – Khadijah Abdallah : 16/20 – Nour Nedal : 14/20 I have to mention that the test consists of 40 questions about the course (quiz) with the only possibility of answering Yes or No to every question . The test is not easy , and it necessary to have well followed the course in order to give good answers . The best note ever obtained by a student to this test (last year) was 19,5/20. So, congratulations to the students , they did really well. They were in fact interested and ask many good questions . Appreciation on the course by the students (average) : – Adaptation to their studies : 7/10 – Clarity of the course : 9/10 – Duration of the course : 8/10 – Balance between presentation and questions/answers : 8/10 – Value of the workshops : 9/10 – General appreciation of the course : 9/10 – Did the course give you a better understanding of extractive industries issues and problems : 9/10 Written comments by the students : – The biggest advantage of the course is the area and the type of issues covered . Rich and well organized. It would be better to have more discussions and debates. – Really informative and interesting , wonderfully delivered , I did not feel any boredom the whole week. Videos and professor’s Jean-Pierre’s stories add a fun part to learning. – Knowing how extractive industries work really help me in making future decisions. » End of the quote I really appreciated this course and the students. The bad point : only 3 students attending the full course . It was in fact rather a private lesson !
