Impression générale
Very good organisation and video equiment support.
19 students of which 9 from PPC (1st Yr.) – 6 from PTT ( Petroleum Authority Thailand) and 4 from Thailand Ministry of Energy.
Prof Piya demand the course -15 hrs teaching + 3 hrs tutorial – was delivered in 4 days followed by a test 1h30 hr the 5th day
I must say that it was a quite heavy/ and tiring .. schedule for the students and myself…
Thank you to the students for lively and proactive sessions – with many good questions.
Most of the students had a good scientific level and energy topics knowledge
the 1h30 test followed the course: with 30 questions quiz plus 10 small calculations-
One student (not from PPC) with an Art background had some difficulties ..
Diplomae was granted to all of them -cf herafter results.
Quid du futur ?
Prof Piya indicates that Energy Mix Course is matching very well the 1st Year Cursus of PPC
and TPA courses are now part of the PPC cursus and scholarship.
Concerning the duration prof Piya would suggest 24/30 hrs course spread on 2 weeks (3 hrs / day) . He also mentionned that PPC could support TPA professor expenses for the second week.
We report the suggestion still to be reviewed with TPA and Total Thailand.
On our side, why not for the <Energy Mix course
Questions posées par les étudiants
Many good questions on specific topics of which:
CO2 emission (CCS) and Air quality – fossil energy resources & demand – China/India/US economy impact- Electricity grid stability within a Renewable intermittency power supply scheme – Coal Power plant & Gas combined cycle efficiency progress – biomass valorisation : Combustion/ gasification/ waste valorisation/ Biogas / palm biodiesel …/ pellet issues & biomass neutral carbon emission…
understand EGAT (Thailand power Comp) thinking to push Biomass as Power generation within the next electricity programme to come for 2036Yr
