RESERVOIR ENGINEERING ET SIMULATION

VERY GOOD Logistics assistance very efficient from SPE Chapter Team ( transfer from/to hotel, lunches, overall schedule of the week) Spacious room/amphitheater with all facilities. Courses were originally planned from 8 to 12 am for 5 days. But, finally, all other courses were canceled on this week and students asked me to run at a pace slower than initially planned to allow more discussions around the  »One minute Paper », more exercises and some discussions related to actual student projects, ….. adding 2.5 hrs on the first 4 afternoons. Resulting total duration : 30 hrs. Students were very participative with a wide variety of questions due to the heterogeneity of the audience (see infra). As a consequence the five days were very lively…. and marks ( of the final quiz) very good. After the recent TPA day devoted to the  »Feedback on IW » , I ask the students to be very critical and constructive on the course in view of its future improvement. The 27 sheets clearly reveal the partition of the audience. Side topic : I had opportunity to visit the University lab : CEPETRO. – PVT measurements and Enhanced Oil Recovery studies – Rock laboratory : core analysis, rock-fluid interactions ….. – Specific problems encountered in deep offshore ( riser stability and flow assurance …) – Multiphase fluid flow in vertical and horizontal pipes (for calibration of mathematical laws..)
